The Prince Naif Health Research Center in collaboration with Southern Denmark University organized a Collaborative Health Research Day at Main Auditorium, New Dental Hospital Building together with Research Support Unit of College of Dentistry.
The them of the event was to established an innovative solutions for several health issues in Saudi Arabia.
These includes Prof. Uffe Holmskov from SDU discussed Immunology, Infectious Diseases and Vaccines and Dr. Ali Somily from KKUH Microbiology Department highlighted the opportunity for SABIN Vaccine Training Initiatives. Dr. Abdurahman Niazy cited remarkable MCB Lab achievements from MCB Glorious Past and Bright Future.
Establishing and running structure of Bio Banks was discussed by Mr. Lars Hvidberg, Bio statistical support unit for clinicians explained the significance in health research by Prof. Jacob von Bornemann Hjelmborg while Dr. Othman Zainalabadeen from KKUH shared his professional experience in Clinical research databases KKUH Biobanks.
Diabetes prevention was tackled by Dr. Abdullah Alguwaiheis in connection to diabetes research conducted at Saudi Arabia while Prof. Arja Aro from SDU and currently health adviser at Princess Noura University elaborated the status and research needs to promote diabetes awareness.
Lastly, Dr. Jasper H. Nielsen and Dr. Abdullah Aldahmash emphasized and concluded the significance of PNHRC and SDU Collaborative Health Research for the KSUMC.
